Since starting this project we have gotten a lot of questions about the team and story behind IAGON so we all agree that it wouldn’t be fair to keep you waiting any longer. For the purpose that our community meets the minds behind the IAGON project, we have created a short Q & A with both of our founders, CEO Dr. Navjit Dhaliwal and COO Dr. Elad Harison.
Dr. Navjit Dhaliwal — CEO: A serial entrepreneur with a keen interest in business and technology. He is leading the IAGON team in an effort to be at the forefront of the decentralized cloud services industry. Dr. Navjit Dhaliwal stands tall behind two of his previously successful business ventures and clearly makes his mark with IAGON.
Dr. Elad Harison — Co-founder and COO: He is an AI and Machine Learning Expert, Economist and Industrial Engineer. His everyday work integrates the technical, scientific, business and economic aspects of the organizational processes at IAGON. He is responsible for fostering a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
Q: So to get started would you please explain to people how, when and where did you meet?
Elad: Navjit and I met via Linkedin through a mutual friend that knew of our similar ideas in terms of secure data storage. Navjit was interested in a way to secure patient data records via Blockchain technology, as medical records are highly sensitive and private. Further talks with him led to full out secure storage /processing network, not only in the medical field, but for any type of organization and quite actually, for society as a whole.
Q: Okay, so how did you decide that you want to start a business together?
Navjit: We have similar goals and are both self-motivated people. From the beginning there was a lot of excitement about the platform from both sides. Also, we both have different fields of expertise and through the combining of our collective knowledge, there are many additional ventures and successes that we can make. Elad’s expertise is in Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and management of software development projects, while I’m highly knowledgeable in financial planning and blockchain technology.
Q: How and when did the idea of IAGON start?
Elad: As explained previously, the idea started from storing patient health records in a secure way via Blockchain technology. The architecture of the platform started in June 2017 and further developed around September 2017.
Q: Why did you decide to develop a decentralized cloud platform?
Navjit: Well, frankly decentralized platforms prove to be more secure, reliable, cost-effective and efficient than centralized spaces. We aim at reducing the high costs that companies pay for cloud services for storage and processing, while uniting and benefiting “miners”(people who join our online platform) that do not fully use the capabilities of their computers, servers or data centers.
Q: What fascinates you the most about Blockchain technology?
Both: Blockchain is a revolutionary technology. What fascinates us about Blockchain is that there is not one single entity behind it. It is not controlled by a firm but rather the people that use the specific Blockchain. It is also the most secure way to do everything and anything in a technological aspect. Additionally, the cryptographic power of Blockchain is magnificent and enables protecting any type of data or file with relative ease.
